Dr. Ian Reight - General Surgeon and Robotic Surgery Proctor

Based in Mount Vernon, Maine, Ian Reight, MD, is a general surgeon who delivers critical care at the Maine General Medical Center. He has chaired the institution’s surgery department and served as director of surgical quality. He has also held responsibilities as medical staff president and helped integrate leading-edge technological innovations as the robotic steering committee chair. Dr. Ian Reight’s experience also includes a consultancy role as a proctor for robotic surgery with Intuitive Surgical.

Dr. Reight earned his degree in psychology with pharmacology and neuropsychology concentrations at the University of Maryland at College Park.
